Research shows that women, on average, have fewer financial
resources and must stretch dollars over a longer period of time than
men. The YWCA's Women & Money program includes a day-long
conference, a series of workshops--including workshops in Spanish--
and an electronic learning component providing women
with the confidence and skills needed to improve and con-

trol their finances. Topics include Money and Emotions
& money
Building Wealth, Taking Control of Credit and Debt,
How to Save, Smart Spending, and Funding Dreams.
Women & Money is also incorporated into programs such
as Bright Futures, TECHgyrls, and the Women's Leadership Conference.

The YWCA's Racial Justice Program provides a wide range of
opportunities for adults and young people to discover conscious and
unconscious ways that racism has impacted their lives,
to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of

differences, and to take steps to combat racism and
prejudice. YWCA programs include Understanding
Forums on Race
Racism, It's Time to Talk, Journey to a Hate-
Free Millennium, the annual Youth Forum on Race,
and Let's Get Real--an anti-bullying program for middle school
students. The Tucson Anti-Racism and Diversity Resource
