Through the Women's Center for Economic Opportunity (WCEO), we are leveling the playing field for women in business and at work.
The YWCA was the first to pioneer employment bureaus and child care centers for women. We also led the push for the eight-hour workday, the elimination of child labor, and creation of a minimum wage.
Today, through our Women's Center for Economic Opportunity YW of Southern Arizona continues to provide support for women who seek professional advancement, to acquire job training and skills for successful employment, to deepen their financial literacy, and to achieve educational goals for the sake of economic advancement.
