Microbusiness Advancement Center (MAC)

YWCA Southern Arizona has been delivering programs and services to equip and empower women for success in business and at work for 100 years. Our workforce readiness and leadership development programs are second to none.

We're building on that track record and setting our sights on an even bigger goal.

In 2015, YWCA acquired the Microbusiness Advancement Center of Southern Arizona (MAC), a mission-driven organization that takes a market-based approach to driving economic development and advancing the cause of economic justice in Southern Arizona.

Through MAC, we:

  • Offer business training and one-on-one counseling to entrepreneurs.
  • Give women and minorities access to capital (microloans, traditional loans and equity investment).
  • Launch social enterprises (mission-driven businesses) that drive economic development in this community, like for example:
  • Kitchen Business Incubator serving food entrepreneurs on Tucson's Southside (coming - fall 2017).

We are committed to this single vision: Everybody thrives. And we believe an economy based on healthy, sustainable, locally owned small businesses are key to making that vision a reality.

MAC is housed at YWCA's Frances McClelland Community Center, 525 N. Bonita Ave., Tucson AZ 85745.
